今日は高い山の上で天の栄光とイエス様の再臨の姿をみた弟子たちが群衆のところに赴いたシーンから始まります。
てんかんで苦しんでいる息子のために母親がイエスの弟子たちの元に連れていきましたが病気をいやすことができなかった、との報告がその母からイエスになされました。
イエス様は落胆の思いを述べられます。「あなたたちにどこまで我慢すればよいのか」と言うほどに、です。それほど十字架の時が迫っていたのです。
そしてイエス様が息子のから悪霊を追い出し、そして彼は一瞬にして癒されました。
その後、弟子たちだけになったとき、失望の気持ちで弟子たちはイエス様に自分たちがどうして病気をいやせなかったのか？をこっそり質問しました。
イエス様の答えはシンプルでした。
・信仰が薄いから。
・もしからし種1粒ほどの信仰があれば、その山をも動かせる（弟子には現在、１粒ほどの微塵の信仰もない状態）
・信仰さえあれば、（神の力によって）できないことは何もない。（イエス様の信仰）
・このような信仰と癒しの力を持つには、さらなる祈りと断食が必要。
今日のイエス様の答えはシンプルな分、私にも同じく、心を突き刺すような内容です。
普段からイエス様は弟子たちの信仰のために祈っていた、ということもこの回答からわかります。そして彼らが天の力と権威を受けて、悪霊を追い出すことを期待していました。
からし種は本当に小さいですが、１粒ほどの信仰でも天の父はその信仰を働かせ、奇跡を行ってくださることもわかります。でも私たちはそれほどの信仰を自分の中に持つことが難しいのです。熱心な祈りと断食によってでなければ。
特に人々に宣教したり癒したりしたいと願う場合は、ただ祈り・断食によって信仰を与えられ、力を得られることがわかります。このことを信じたいです。
私たちの祈りの組でもリバイバルを求める祈りの日は断食を薦められます。食事は一般的ですが、メディア断食でもつぶやき断食でも良いのです。
そのような習慣を、クリスチャンの日常の習慣としてもっと取り入れ、イエス様の方法に習いたいと改めて思いました。
In today ‘s scene, Jesus and disciples come to the multitude after experiencing glorious miracle on the high mountain. A mother reported to Jesus that she took her sick son to the disciples, but they didn’t heal her son. Jesus was disappointed to the extent saying that how long he should wait and should be patient to his disciples. Because his time of suffering on the cross was coming.
Then Jesus scolded the bad demon in the son and healed him instantly. After that, disciples asked Jesus privately why they couldn’t heal the boy with the feeling of disappointment. The Jesus answers were very simple:
*Their faith is not enough.
*If they have any faith and if the size of the faith is like a master seed, they can move the mountain from here to there (There is no such a little faith in them at that time)
*If someone has a little faith like master seed, they can do everything by GOD’s power! (It’s Jesus faith)
*To have such a faith and make miracles to heal sick people, you need more prayers and fasting.
Jesus’ answers are too simple and too sharp for me to re-think my faith towards GOD. I also realized that Jesus had prayed eagerly for his disciples every day and expecting them to kick out the demon form the sick and heal them. And just tiny faith can lead the miracles by working our faith provided with heavenly father’s tremendous power. But it is very difficult to have even such a tiny faith if we don’t believe God and don’t pray and fast eagerly.
And Jesus clearly said that praying and fasting is the only way to kick out the demon from the sick heart and heal them. I would like to believe this sincerely.
In our prayers group in every morning, we are always recommended to have food fast time, media fast time like SNS, and even muttering fast time to themselves when praying our spiritual revival.
I would like to adopt what was taught by as a daily habit for the Christian, and to follow to the Jesus way.
